Dublin to The Wild Atlantic Way via The Cliffs of Moher & The Burren Geopark

We will begin our adventure with a drive to the midlands of Ireland with our first stop at the stunning off the beaten path gem - Clonmacnoise. Here you can explore the ancient ruins and enjoy the exquisite Celtic crosses. After this stop we will continue our journey west with a visit to the Burren region. This moonlike landscape offers a host of great activities for you to fill the day including Cliffs of Moher Boat Trips, Nature Walks, Caves and local perfumeries and chocolatiers. After enjoying the best of the Burren we will make our way to the highlight of the day, the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Standing over 220 meters high this stunning coastal attraction offers some great cliff walks along the atlantic edge. After taking in the best of the cliffs we will make our way south along the Wild Atlantic Way for your first overnight in the heart of the west.

Clare to Dingle Peninsula via The Wild Atlantic Way

Today we will make our way south along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our journey will take us by ferry across the mouth of the River Shannon and into the Kingdom of Kerry. A standout drive of the trip will be the Connors Pass route with stunning views across the valley and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Of course throughout the day we will take in hidden gems such as The Blennerville Windmill, Tralee Town and Listowel. Our day will end when we arrive into the world famous Dingle town. Here you can try some of the delicious seafood that makes Dingle one of the outstanding foodie destinations in Ireland before retiring for your first night stay in this quaint Dingle town.

Exploring the Dingle Peninsula & The Slea Head Drive

Today we will continue our journey around the incredible Dingle Peninsula. We will explore the area with a stunning coastal drive around Slea Head, along the way encountering a number of archaeological sites such as beehive huts, ring forts, ogham stones and lots more. This is a day of incredible stonework masterfully created by our ancestors.  There are also plenty of options for activities including brewery’s, whiskey distilleries, ancient archaeological sites and a boat trip. Being in the bay since 1983 he is everyone's favourite along the Wild Atlantic Way. After exploring Dingle Town with it’s many craft galleries and excellent eateries we will retire to our hotel for our second night stay in Dingle town.

Day 3

The Dingle Peninsula to Kilkenny via Killarney & Ireland's Ancient East

Today we will make our way back towards the east with a first stop at the spectacular Killarney National Park where you can walk the lakes or take a horse and cart trip around the park. You will also enjoy some beautiful heritage sites such as Muckross House, Muckross Abbey and more. After this we will continue our journey to the famous Rock of Cashel where you can take a tour of the ecclesiastical site and castle perched on Patrick's rock in the county of Tipperary. We will then continue our journey through the agricultural heartland of Ireland known as the Golden Vale before arriving into the medieval heart of Ireland - Kilkenny City for your overnight stay in Ireland’s Ancient East.

Kikkenny City to Dublin via The Wicklow mountains National Park

Today we will journey east out of Kilkenny and into the dramatic Wicklow Mountains National Park. Rolling green mountainous scenery awaits, scattered with evidence of Ireland's great history. Our first stop of the day will be at the tranquil and serene Glendalough otherwise known as the ’The Valley of the 2 Lakes’.  Here you can tour the ruins of an ancient monastery and enjoy a lakeside walk in the shadow of the mountains and visit the 2 lakes steeped in Irish folklore. You will then take a lunch in the traditional mountain pub called the Wicklow Heather. After lunch your journey will take you across the bogs of the Dublin & Wicklow Mountains and by the stunning Lough Tay offering panoramic views mountainous views. After this we will make our way to the capital city of Ireland ending your 5 day adventure.
